GERRIXX
"I want someone who sees my work for the first time to
right there decide that they want to be a graphic designer."
Ground Rule 1: Don't email asking why there
was no personal info on the interviewee, its not
an accident. If the interviewee  wants that info
out in the universe then you will see it. Their
country will always be highlighted to add to the
flavor of the conversation

Ground Rule 2 : There is no particular rhyme or
reason for the individual 's presented other than
the fact that they have something to say

Ground Rule 3 : This site  is designed to
highlight voices that you normally wouldn't
hear, but it will feature folks you may have heard
of

Ground Rule 4 : If you or someone you know
would like to be featured, contact me at

Q. What is the philosophy behind your design?

Gerrixx. I just create what I like... there is no
philosophy... it's graphic design... looks good
for the sake of looking good... I want someone
who see's my work for the first time to right
there decide that they want to be a graphic
designer.

Q. What are the main considerations you take
before starting a design?

G. Color theme, mood, sometimes I start out
with a goal in mind but usually it's "let's see
what happens".

Q. Is there a particular process or path you
follow to get to the end result?

G. Not really, there are looks to what I do so I
must be following a path... it's not conscious.
I've been told that all of my stuff looks the
same... I'm fine with that... Whenever you see a
Dali, you know it's a Dali... No one seems to
have a problem with that.

Q. As it relates to design, are you a Mac or PC
person and why

G. Mac... why drive a GM when you can drive a
Benz. Superior machine, you'll always get the
geeks and nerds with their "You can do so
much more with a PC". I'm sure that's true...
Computers are simply tools... the difference
between MS word and a pencil... It comes
down to the operator. It's just choice, I choose
the superior machine.
